International Back Office Coordinator – Europe

Fritz&Muller is partnering with a leading multinational company in the food sector to recruit an International Back Office Coordinator for its European operations. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Rotterdam.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and provide strategic oversight of all back-office activities across Europe, ensuring full alignment with corporate standards and compliance with local regulations.

  • Manage and streamline the flow of information between local offices and cross-functional departments, securing timely, accurate, and consistent operational execution.

  • Supervise, optimize, and continuously improve administrative, logistics, invoicing, and operational support processes.

  • Serve as the principal escalation point for operational matters, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining transparency with internal stakeholders.

  • Implement, refine, and enforce internal procedures and policies to drive efficiency, standardization, and service excellence.

  • Prepare and deliver performance reports, KPIs, and process analyses to regional leadership, offering insights that support strategic decision-making.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop back-office teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Work in close partnership with Planning to guarantee product availability in the right place at the right time.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Customer Service to enhance service levels and strengthen client satisfaction.

  • Identify system gaps and partner with IT to implement solutions that accelerate digital transformation and streamline operational processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience coordinating teams in international environments, ideally within the food, ingredients, FMCG, or B2B sectors.

  • Proven track record leading and managing mid-size operational or back-office teams.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (ideally SAP), CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and MS Office.

  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages such as German, French, or Dutch are highly advantageous.

  • Willingness and availability to work on-site in Rotterdam.
